Developed
for fiber panel industry, characteristics are
obtained thanks to a clutch brake system, the
POSIDYNE®. Torque is transmitted by shearing the
transmission fluid between multiple friction discs.
The fluid absorbs the heat of engagement, dissipating
it throughout the housing.
Overheating problems causing inaccuracy and
inopportune wear are over !
A
closed loop position control connected to an incremental
encoder stops the drive shaft within about ± 2°
tolerance each time, virtually eliminating product
length variances.

To
date we have successfully fitted out factories
with this system. Our customers report a high
improvement in consistency, with variance reduce
from several millimeters to less than one millimeter
for running speed over 50 m/mn and cutting rate
over 60 chops a minute.
The equipment includes reliable mechanical components
designed so as to hold a 24 hours a day and 7
days a week running.
The maintenance required is minimal : only
the oil level has to be checked regularly.
The re-circulation of oil between the friction
surfaces reduces wear a lot, providing an exceptionally
long service life. Besides, the wear of the disk
can be checked very easily and the complete clutch
break system changed in a very short time.
